What is a sun studio shed?
A sun studio is a modern backyard building with a single-slope roof and large windows that let in plenty of natural light. Unlike a standard storage shed, it’s designed to be a space you spend time in: an office, studio, or retreat.
Can I use the Sun Studio as a home office?
Yes, that’s one of the most popular uses. Add insulation and an electrical package, and you’ll have a quiet, comfortable workspace just steps from your house, with no commute.
What else can I use a sun studio for?
Art or craft studio, music room, reading nook, home gym, yoga space, guest lounge, or a she shed or man cave. The open layout makes it easy to set up however you like.
Can I insulate and add electricity?
Yes. Insulation and electrical packages are available as upgrades, so you can stay comfortable year-round with heating, cooling, lighting, and outlets for your equipment.
Is delivery included?
Your Sun Studio is delivered fully assembled to your property across central and eastern North Carolina. Your site needs to be level and accessible for our delivery truck.
Do you offer rent-to-own?
Yes. Rent-to-own options are available, so you can get your studio now with manageable monthly payments.
Do I need a permit for a backyard studio?
It depends on your county and how you’ll use the building. Check with your local permit office, especially if you plan to add electricity or use it as a living
Can I add more windows?
Absolutely. You can add more windows, including high clerestory windows along the tall wall that bring in extra light while keeping your privacy.

Delivery & Setup
Once everything is ready, we’ll coordinate delivery or on-site construction and make sure your Carolina Sun Studio is set up with care.
